Assistant Vicar

 

Fr. Royson Menolickal OFM Cap, province of St Mary, New York New England, was, born on 25th February as the fourth son of Antony and Annamma Menolickal at Josegiri,, Idukki District. After completing his high school education at St Sebastians High, School Pottankad, he completed a diploma course in agriculture and animal husbandry. 

On June 8th 1986, he entered the Capuchin Minor Seminary at Bharananganam. Fr., Royson made his first religious profession on 15th May 1991. He was ordained as a priest, on November 16th 1998. He worked as Parocial vicar at St. Thomas Church Malayattoor, from 1998 December to 1999 June. He successfully completed his studies in M A English, Literature, Bachelor’s degree in Education, Masters in Education, M Phil in English, literature, MA in Pastoral Counseling and Doctorate in Ministry with concentration in, Counseling. He worked as the Vice Principal of St. Jude Higher Secondary School, Kollam, from 1999 to 2004 and simultaneously served as the Pastor in St. Jude Syro-Malankara, Catholic Church, Mukhathala, Kollam. Then from 2004 to 2005, he taught in, Vijnananilayam Major Seminary, Eluru, Andhra Pradesh as the professor of philosophy. 
He was appointed as the Parochial Vicar of St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Forane Church, on March 21st 2013, by Mar Jacob Angadiath, Bishop of St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Diocese, Chicago. In 2015 He got an additional appointment as the director of Blessed Kunjachan, Mission in Staten Island. In 2016 He was appointed as the Director of St Joseph, Syro-Malabar Mission, Hudson Valley, New York. In 2018 June he was appointed as The, Guardian/Superior of Good Shepherd Friary in New York. In 2018 October he was appointed, as the Director of International collaboraton for the Province of St. Mary New, York New England.
